The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. It is designed to increase mutual understanding between people in the United States and other countries.
About 310,000 participants — chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential — have had the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns through Fulbright.
Fulbright, which brings citizens of other countries to the United States for master’s or doctorate degree studies at universities or other appropriate institutions. The program has brought some of the world’s finest minds to U.S. campuses and offers program participants insight into U.S. society and values.USAID Egypt, through Fulbright, grants scholarships to 335 high-achieving, economically disadvantaged Egyptians for U.S. master’s degree programs in fields critical to Egypt's economic development. They acquire leadership and employment skills, English language training and a first-hand understanding of American society that they take back to Egypt to become community leaders and engage in civic activities in their communities.
