Health Insurance Rates

New exchange and sponsored students must pay for health insurance in full. Rates are subject to change. Academic year rates will be finalized during the summer (typically end of July).

One semester

Exchange/sponsored students who attend for one semester only must purchase University health insurance.

• The rate is $926 for the period Aug. 20, 2024 - Dec. 13, 2024. (Fall semester)
• The rate is $862 for the period of Jan. 09, 2025 - May 09, 2025. (Spring semester)

Two semesters

Exchange/sponsored students who attend for two semesters only must purchase University health insurance for both semesters.

• The rate is $1,787 for the period Aug. 20, 2024 - May 09, 2025.

If you do not pay for your health insurance in full by the fifth day of classes, your courses will be dropped. A hold will then be placed on your account until the amount is paid in full.

Government-sponsored student exemption

To receive a waiver from St. Cloud State University's international insurance requirement, students must provide proof of full coverage in the United States through their government-sponsored insurance.
