At the Center for International Studies, we provide information, advocacy, guidance, and support to more than 1,400 international students and scholars from five continents.

At St. Cloud State University, you will meet students from over 85 nations, including Malaysia, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Germany, Japan, and Brazil.

We'll help you navigate travel, immigration, finance, employment, and academics.

How we help

  • F-1 Student Enrollment Requirements

    All international students attending St. Cloud State University under F-1 student status are required to be enrolled in a full-time course load to maintain their F-1 student status.
  • Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship

    The Academic and Cultural Sharing Scholarship (ACSS) offers reduced tuition rates to international students who meet and maintain eligibility requirements.

  • F-1 Student Employment Options

    Employment opportunities for F-1 international students (on campus employment, CPT, OPT, etc.)
  • Health Insurance

    Health insurance is required for all F-1 and J-1 students and scholars at St. Cloud State.
  • Short-Term International Visitors

    St. Cloud State University encourages its faculty, staff, and students to exchange information and ideas and promote relationships with institutions worldwide.
  • Invitation Letters

    St. Cloud State University issues letters of invitation for students who would like to invite their family and friends to the U.S. to visit them while they are attending the university.
