We offer a comprehensive benefit package through the State Employee Group Insurance Program (SEGIP) for benefit-eligible State employees and eligible family members. This benefit package may include the following: Medical and Dental Insurance, Vision Plan, Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Pre-Tax Benefits (Flexible Benefits and Transit Expense Plan), among other available optional benefits.

Sign up, make changes or decline medical coverage in Self Service beginning Oct. 30 with these things in mind:

  • Primary Care Clinics cost level can change. Review your selection carefully.
  • Open enrollment must be completed whether you want to enroll in benefits or not.
  • Not all benefits will automatically roll over (i.e. Pre-Tax benefits).
  • If you want to waive health insurance, you still need to enroll in a plan. After, you will fill out an Insurance Waiver form and send it in to State Employment Group Insurance Plan (SEGIP)
    • Most employees will be required to also send in proof of coverage
    • If you do not have proof of coverage right away, don't delay in sending in the Insurance Waiver. Snd in the waiver first and they will ask for proof of coverage with a due date
    • Send in by fax or via email to SEGIP, so you can save the confirmation that it was sent
  • After your online enrollment, print the Confirmation Statement

Benefit eligibility depends on several factors, including employment classification, length of service, and the terms outlined in your collective bargaining agreement or employment plan.
