As a St. Cloud State University and State of Minnesota employee, health and security are vital to your success. That's why we offer a wide range of benefits for eligible employees and eligible family members—providing valuable coverage and resources to support your health, well-being, and everyday needs.
We offer a comprehensive benefit package through the State Employee Group Insurance Program (SEGIP) for benefit-eligible State employees and eligible family members. This benefit package may include the following: Medical and Dental Insurance, Vision Plan, Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Pre-Tax Benefits (Flexible Benefits and Transit Expense Plan), among other available optional benefits.

Primary Care Clinics cost levels can change. Review your selections carefully.
- Not all benefits will automatically carry over into the new plan year—this includes Pre-Tax Benefits. Additionally, you must actively state that you want to continue to waive medical insurance every year. We strongly encourage all employees to carefully review and complete the Open Enrollment process to ensure their benefit elections are accurate and up to date.

If you intend to waive health insurance coverage, visit the State Employee Group Insurance Program (SEGIP) Waive Medical Insurance page for more information.
- Employees may be required to also send in proof of coverage
- If you do not have proof of coverage right away, don't delay in sending in the Insurance Waiver. Send in the waiver first and they will ask for proof of coverage with a new due date
- Send it in by fax or via email to SEGIP, so you can save the confirmation page
