Responsible for the identification, implementation, and evaluation of priorities and goals surrounding career development and outreach. Partners with faculty and staff university-wide to build relationships and encourage alliances with the goal of assisting them to increase their knowledge of career development theory and strategies enabling partners to integrate these theories and strategies into their work to enhance student career success. Recruits, trains, and supervises graduate and undergraduate career advisors.

Responsible for the management of the Handshake platform and other career services software, including troubleshooting, data maintenance, and user training. Maintains the Career Center’s online presence, supports event tracking, and manages all department data needs to optimize career services. Coordinates the Minnesota State Graduate Follow-Up Survey for SCSU, integrating data and creating custom reports on graduate outcomes.

Responsible for ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where students, alumni, employers and the campus community receive exceptional service with efficiency and professionalism. Facilitates training, supervision and mentorship of student staff. Manages budget and resources. Facilitates the overall function of day to day and long-term office operations by supporting the Career Center team in all efforts to meet and exceed mission and goals.
