Responsible for leadership, vision and overall strategic direction for the center. Provides management in the creation of holistic and ongoing career development and employment services infused throughout the student experience. Actively participates in university engagement and leadership committees and represents the university on community organizations and committees.
Responsible for the identification, implementation, and evaluation of priorities and goals surrounding career development and outreach. Partners with faculty and staff university-wide to build relationships and encourage alliances with the goal of assisting them to increase their knowledge of career development theory and strategies enabling partners to integrate these theories and strategies into their work to enhance student career success. Recruits, trains, and supervises graduate and undergraduate career advisors.
Responsible for partnerships that increase internship opportunities, awareness of internship policies and trends, and the coordination of employer neworking events and job and internship fairs.
Advises students with career and major exploration and career readiness. Partners with faculty and student service departments to enhance career development opportunities across campus. Recruits, trains, and mentors undergraduate peer career advisors.
Overall management of the career services online recruiting system (Handshake). Provides leadership for all data and information for the Career Center, including Post-Graduation Outcomes for all SCSU alumni. Coordinate updating of the Career Center website. Assists with general technology needs for the office.
