Reservations Guidelines

To make reservation requests:

  • Complete an on-line request for a kiosk, table or mall space; or
  • Visit the AMC main office, Room 110, or
  • Call (320) 308-INFO (4636) or (320) 308-2905; or
  • Send an e-mail message to

Please include the following information in your request:

  • Official business or organization name, and street address
  • Contact name and position title
  • Date and time needed
  • E-mail address
  • Give a very specific description of what you plan to do, promote,  or what product(s) you intend to sell
  • Number attending to staff the kiosk or table
  • Setup required

Please submit the reservation request at least two weeks before the day of your event, with payment made within 5 business days of approval for use.    Space can be requested up to a year in advance.  All payments must be made in advance or prior to setting up.

Rescheduling (without penalty) is allowed if Atwood is notified at least five business days prior to the reservation date. This rescheduling will be at no additional charge. Failure to notify the Atwood scheduling office of a cancellation or rescheduling request at least five business days before the reservation will result in charges for the space. This invoice must be paid before the organization will be allowed to request space in AMC again. The rental fee is non-refundable.   Fees are reviewed and updated on an annual basis with consultation from the Atwood Advisory Council.

General Information related to kiosks, tabling, mall, or Corner Crossing spaces

Promotional kiosks and tables serve a dual purpose by allowing registered student organization and university department promotions and sales while also offering the privilege for non-university commercial and non-profit vendors and organizations to provide valued services to students (if kiosks and tables are available). These spaces in Atwood Memorial Center (AMC) will not allow the sale or distribution of products/messages that promote violations of University policies, state or federal laws and/or university contracts. Specific items that are prohibited in the promotional spaces include: accessories or items that promote alcohol or tobacco use, credit card or debit card sign up, except for those situations where the card is provided as an incidental service to a product or service (i.e. phone calling cards), food items in conflict with the contractual agreement with the campus dining vendor, or services or products that conflict with university policy or university services offered. Vendors may be asked to remove items or be asked to cease their activities if they are not listed in their vendor application. Per Minnesota State policy, Atwood does not permit users to hold a raffle on university property.  

Anyone using promotional kiosk or tabling space is required to stay behind or at the table/kiosk when distributing material or recruiting. No excessive noise is allowed. AMC reserves the right to make changes in the reservation details to accommodate the specific needs or issues facing the campus community. All vendors/organizations, and their members reserving space at St. Cloud State University must comply with the regulations governing the campus (campus, Minnesota State, local, state, or federal). Any vendor or individual who violates campus policies may be denied the right to schedule space for future activities.

Atwood Memorial Center has four (4) types of kiosk/tabling promotional and retail spaces available

Kiosks have a daily rental rate.  Kiosks are 4 x 2 ½ feet with one shelf, two stools, a clip in the front for a poster, and a tack strip behind for posting. Current usage and rental fees are available from the Atwood Administration office at (320) 308-2905.

Main Lounge tabling spaces have a daily rental rate. Table space is approximately 10' x 10' and can accommodate up to three 6' tables.  If you wish to bring in your own display set, it must be kept within the space that is assigned. Mall space has a daily rental rate for a space approximately 10' x 10'. Atwood Memorial Center will provide up to three six-foot tables and three chairs for each space reserved. If you are interested in a specific area on the Mall, you should note your preference when you make your request. Use of the mall space shall not block sidewalks, entrances, the handicap ramp, or the Mall Front Porch. Driving on the Mall is not permitted unless arrangements are made ahead of time. Indoor space cannot be guaranteed as a backup when the weather is not conducive to outdoor events.  Please keep this in mind when reserving space. Usage must also comply with the Campus Use of Outdoor Space Policy. All other General Information guidelines for use of, check in, etc. for these spaces are applicable.  Current usage and rental fees are available from the Atwood Administration office at (320) 308-2905.


A representative from the business or organization must check in with the Atwood 110 office before setting up.  The rental fee is non-refundable if the business or organization does not arrive or use the space.    

Audio Visual Equipment

Outlets are located near kiosks and tables. A limited number of TV/VCR/DVD's are available in Atwood. You may request a TV/VCR or TV/DVD when requesting promotional space. Volume must not disturb others in adjacent area.
