Zoom-Enabled Study Spaces
There are a variety of options for students to join their courses synchronously on campus:
- Students can reserve Zoom-enabled study rooms in the Miller Center (webcam and headset with microphone recommended).
- These rooms offer a quieter space with a computer and Wi-Fi for students to connect to their courses.
- To reserve one of these spaces in the Miller Center, see the University Library's Study Rooms page.
- There are a limited number of these spaces available, and they are intended for students who need the room to connect synchronously to courses while they are on campus.
- Students will be responsible for sanitizing the equipment after using the room. The University Library has sanitizing stations in the landing space of each public floor. Students can use wipes from these stations to sanitize their hands and the equipment.
-
Zoom-enabled study rooms are available for same day reservations for individuals or small study groups in the Atwood Memorial Center. Most of the spaces are equipped with a computer/projector, yet students are encouraged to bring a laptop and accessories (e.g. webcam, headset with microphone). To request one of these rooms, students can stop by AMC 134 during daytime hours, or the Information Desk after-hours.
- Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, students in Case-Hill and Shoemaker Halls will be able to reserve spaces within their residential halls through the Event Management System. These spaces do not have computers, but are intended to offer a quiet space to connect to synchronous courses (laptop, webcam and headset with microphone recommended).
- Students are encouraged to bring a laptop to campus (headset with microphone recommended)
- Students can use general access labs to access a computer (webcam and headset with microphone recommended).
