Undergraduate Tuition Rates
2026-27 Academic Year
The following tuition and fee rates apply for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 and are subject to change. Student fees are assessed on all for-credit courses, including online courses.
The Be a Husky Rate is automatically awarded to admitted, undergraduate students from eligible states outside Minnesota, reducing tuition costs for nonresident students attending St. Cloud State University. Note: Separate reciprocity agreements apply to students from Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and MSEP Compact.
Visit the Financial Aid Cost of Attendance page for annual and semester cost estimates including tuition, fees, housing, books and supplies, transportation, and other educational expenses.
Undergraduate Tuition Rates Per Credit
Undergraduate students enrolled in fewer than 12 credits per semester are charged tuition on a per-credit basis. Courses taken during the summer term are also billed per credit.
Note: Some academic programs include additional differential tuition or program-specific fees. Students should review their program requirements for details.

Students enrolled in more than 18 credits during a semester will be charged an additional per-credit tuition rate for each credit exceeding the 18 credit flat-rate tuition band.
Flat-Rate/Banded Tuition
Flat-rate/banded tuition allows full-time undergraduate students enrolled in 12–18 credits to pay a single tuition rate, allowing students to take additional credits within the 12–18 credit range without incurring additional tuition charges.
By allowing students to enroll in more credits at the same tuition rate, flat-rate tuition can help support timely degree completion and reduce overall educational costs.
Note: Some academic programs may include additional differential tuition or program-specific fees. Students should review their program requirements for details.
