These are the tuition and fee rates for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 and are subject to change without notice. Student fees are assessed for all courses taken for academic credit, including online courses.

Resident and Non-Resident Graduate Tuition Rate
Tuition is charged on a per-credit basis for all graduate programs unless otherwise specified within the program's dedicated section.

Accelerated Online Programs
St. Cloud State University offers two Graduate Accelerated Online Programs (AOPs) that feature 7-week courses delivered in two sessions each semester. Session A and Session B. Tuition for those programs are assessed at the rates listed below.

Accelerated online programs are assessed only two of the standard eight student fees: the Students United Fee and the Technology Fee. No other standard student fees apply to students enrolled exclusively in these programs.

Doctoral charges are on a per credit basis and vary depending on campus and modality.

Residency and Reciprocity
Students may prove their eligibility for in-state tuition by demonstrating domicile in Minnesota. Students have the burden of proving domicile for in-state tuition purposes.
Domicile defined: A domicile is a person's true, fixed and permanent living place. Domicile is the place to which a person intends to return after temporary absences. A person may have only one domicile at a time.
How do I apply for in-state tuition?
Fill out and submit the Change of Residency Status form found on the Records and Registration website.

- Students from Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Ohio may also be eligible for tuition reduction using the Midwest Student Exchange Program.
- All students granted a graduate assistantship at St. Cloud State University pay resident tuition.
