Dispatchers receive emergency and non-emergency calls, monitor cameras, and other systems. Ask questions to interpret, analyze and anticipate the caller’s situation as to resolve problems, provide information, or refer to an outside agency. Dispatchers are responsible for inputting information, data, maintaining logs and records. Requires good multi-tasking skills, to be able to juggle emails, phone calls, use the radio and input data simultaneously.
