Safety at SCSU
St. Cloud State University places the highest priority on the safety of all members of our campus community. On campus, we provide 24/7 coverage of Public Safety Officers on patrol, and 24/7 coverage in our dispatch center, where our dispatchers monitor our security cameras, alarm systems, and panic alarms, in addition to answering telephone calls to Public Safety, and answering and investigating emergency Blue Light system activations.

Our Mission
The St. Cloud State University Public Safety Department is present as a support unit to the broader mission and goals of the University. It strives to provide the safest and most stable environment possible in which education may be pursued without fear or presence of crime or violence. By supporting and educating students, employees and visitors of the University in areas of personal safety and providing response in situations of need, Public Safety will be built on a foundation of proactive service and crime prevention that reflects and preserves the human dignity of those whom we serve.
