Orientation Sessions

On-campus

Jan. 9

  • 6 p.m. Synchronous Online orientation is open to all graduate students. 
  • Orientation will be via Adobe Connect
    • Join and log in as a guest with your first name
    • If you have never attended an Adobe Connect meeting before:
  • Come when you can and leave when you must. Will address the transition to graduate study, accessing services on-campus and at a distance, and technology resources.

Jan. 10

  • Tour of campus (optional), 3:30 p.m., Meet at School of Graduate Studies, Administrative Services 121
  • Graduate Student Social is 5-7 p.m. at Cowboy Jack's, 506 W. St. Germain, St. Cloud. Light appetizers will be provided.

International Students (St. Cloud and Plymouth)

St. Cloud State at Plymouth

Friday, Jan. 18 (note this is after classes begin)

  • For international graduate students in Engineering Management, Applied Clinical Research, Medical Technology Quality, and Regulatory Affairs offered at St. Cloud State at Plymouth
  • Orientation session, Friday, Jan. 18 (note this is after classes begin)
    • 10:00 a.m.-4 p.m., Room 101, St. Cloud State at Plymouth
      • 10:00 a.m. Check in and coffee -- bring I-20 and Passport
      • 10:30 a.m. Health Screenings begin
      • 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. EAP 151 presentations, which are required for F-1 visa holders. Lunch is provided.
      • 2:30-4 p.m. Written portion of English language test, for those required to test
  • Second session 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb 1 . Required for those students registered for EAP 151.

Jan. 7-8 Pre-Orientation

International Student Hub, Main Floor, Atwood Memorial Center

Follow provided schedule for graduate students to complete:

  • English Language Testing as individually required
  • Pay Health Insurance
  • Health Screenings

Student ID Cards
  • Online-only students can request a student ID card by uploading an headshot on a light background. No hats or sunglasses, please. Sign in to account management with your StarID and password.
  • Standard practice is to pick up your ID card. If you are an online or distance student, please forward your email notification indicating your card is ready for pick-up to graduatestudies@stcloudstate.edu and include your current mailing address and we can pick-up and mail your card to you.
  • Plymouth students should follow these directions.
