Wednesday, Jan. 3

  • 6 p.m. Online orientation for all graduate students
  • Orientation will be via Adobe Connect
  • Come when you can and leave when you must. Will address the transition to graduate study, accessing services on-campus and at a distance, and technology resources.

Thursday, Jan. 4

  • 3:00 p.m. — Tour of campus (optional). Meet at Administrative Services 121 

Friday, Jan. 5

  • 1:00 p.m. — Tour of campus (optional). Meet at Administrative Services 121

  • Graduate Student Social
  • 5-7 p.m.
  • Brother’s Bar and Grill. 119 Fifth Ave. S, St. Cloud
  • Co-sponsored by the School of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Student Organization. Light refreshments available.

International Students

Plymouth Center

  • For International graduate students in Engineering Management, Applied Clinical Research, Medical Technology Quality, and Regulatory Affairs
  • Orientation Session, Monday, Jan. 8
    • 9:30 a.m. — Check-in/Breakfast
    • 10 a.m. — Document Check and Forms (please bring I-20 and passport) and Registration Support
    • 11:00 a.m. Presentations
    • 12:30 p.m. Lunch
    • 1 p.m. Presentations
    • 2:30 p.m. Written test for English Language testers

  • 10:00 am. - 4:00 pm. — Pay for health insurance in Business Services in Administrative Services 122, get student ID card in Miller Center 102, and scan documents at the International Student Orientation Hub in Atwood Main Floor
  • 10:30 am. — If required, Written portion of English placement test, Miller Center 122.  If not required, Pay for health insurance in Business Services in Administrative Services 122, get student ID card in Miller Center 102, and scan documents at the International Student Orientation Hub in Atwood Main Floor Lunch (Atwood Ballroom)
  • 12:15 pm. — Lunch (Atwood Ballroom)
  • 1:00 pm. - 4:00 pm. — Drop-in health consultations at Student Health Services in Hill Hall.

Online and Distance Students

Wednesday, January 3

Student ID Cards
  • Online-only students can request a student ID card by emailing us an individual headshot on a light background (no hats, sunglasses etc.) with their name and student ID number.
  • If you indicate you are a graduate student, the card office will notify Graduate Studies to pick up and mail the card to you.
  • Plymouth students should follow these directions.
