Activating Your Online Accounts

This eight-digit identifier can be found on your personal URL. It's can be used to create your Star ID. You can also look it up through E-services.

Events For All New Graduate Students
Welcome new graduate students! We offer a variety of orientation options and opportunities to connect. Each session provides unique information so you can attend them all or select what interests you. Zoom/hybrid events will be recorded and made available on the website.
Online Orientation for New Graduate Students - August 13, 5-6:30 p.m. Register Here
The synchronous online orientation session provides information on getting started as a new graduate student online, at Plymouth or in St. Cloud. We include information on getting involved/professional development opportunities, accessing library resources, and the academic technologies you will use as a graduate student.
St. Cloud Campus - New Graduate Student Orientation - August 20, 4-5:30 p.m. Register Here
This hybrid orientation is hosted in the Miller Center Auditorium, MC 122. It is a great opportunity to learn more about campus and Graduate Studies resources that will support your success. Meet other new incoming graduate students and hear from our student panel as they take your questions on making the most of your graduate school experience.

International Students (St. Cloud and Plymouth)

Plymouth based international students do not need to plan to come to St. Cloud. You can join many events online or from the Plymouth Center.

Join us at 3:00 p.m.. in the Miller Center Auditorium, MC 122, or online via Zoom. All St. Cloud campus based interational graduate students are expected to attend this session and our Plymouth based international students are welcome online. International Student Orientation - St. Cloud Campus Students
Fall International student orientation for St. Cloud campus based students begins Tuesday, August 19. More resources for accepted international students are available online in the SCSU Tool Kit.

Student ID cards
- Students can request a student ID card by uploading an individual headshot on a light background (no hats, sunglasses etc.). Login to account management with your StarID and password.
- Standard practice is to pick up your ID card. If you are an online or distance student, please forward your email notification indicating your card is ready for pick-up to graduatestudies@stcloudstate.edu and include your current mailing address and we can pick-up and mail your card to you.
- Students can request to have the cards sent to the Plymouth Center for pick-up if you are a Plymouth Center student or if it is a more convenient pick-up location. Plymouth Center staff will notify your when your card is ready for pick-up at the Plymouth Center.
