Orientation Sessions


Aug. 15

  • 6 p.m. Synchronous Online orientation is open to all graduate students. Information on connecting is in the Online and Distance Students dropdown.

  • 1 p.m. Campus Tour (optional) Meet in Administrative Services 121
  • 3 p.m. Campus Tour (optional). Meet at Administrative Services 121 
  • 4-6 p.m. New Graduate Student Orientation, Miller Center 122
    • Overview of graduate education, introductory activities, student panel and reception.
    • HuskyTech will be open until 6 p.m. to assist with Campus ID cards, email activation and other technology needs.
    • Free Parking in C Lot for Orientation

Aug. 23

  • Graduate Student Social is 5-7 p.m. at Cowboy Jack's, 506 W. St. Germain, St. Cloud. Light appetizers will be provided.

Aug. 24

  • 1 p.m. Tour of campus (optional). Meet at Administrative Services 121 

International Students (St. Cloud and Plymouth)

St. Cloud State at Plymouth

  • For international graduate students in Engineering Management, Applied Clinical Research, Medical Technology Quality, and Regulatory Affairs offered at St. Cloud State at Plymouth
  • Orientation session, Monday, Aug. 27
    • 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Room 101, St. Cloud State at Plymouth
      • 8:30 a.m. Check in and light breakfast/coffee -- bring I-20 and Passport
      • 8:30 a.m. Health Screenings begin
      • 9 a.m. Advising and Registration (all new international students welcome)
      • 10:15 a.m.-2:30 p.m. EAP 151 presentations, which are required for F-1 visa holders. Lunch is provided.
      • 2:30-4 p.m. Written portion of English language test, for those required to test
  • Second session 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 14. Required for those students registered for EAP 151.

Huskies First Four Events

Aug. 23

  • 1-4 p.m. Campus Quest is an opportunity to explore campus and connect with resources in their offices

  • 8:30 p.m. Huskies Kick-Off is our opening program featuring President Robbyn Wacker, St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis '89, activities and prizes

Aug. 24

  • 7:15 p.m. Huskies Fun Run/Walk is a chance to explore campus on foot and learn about recreation and wellness programs

Aug. 25

  • 8 a.m.-noon Farmer's Market at Minnesota Highway 23 and Sixth Avenue South, St. Cloud
  • Service Saturday, an afternoon full of volunteer projects for new Huskies to help out their new community, 2-5 p.m., Atwood Memorial Center

Online and Distance Students

Aug. 15

  • 6-7:30 p.m. Online orientation for all graduate students
  • Orientation will be via Adobe Connect
    • Join and log in as a guest with your first name
    • If you have never attended an Adobe Connect meeting before:
  • Come when you can and leave when you must. Will address the transition to graduate study, accessing services on-campus and at a distance, and technology resources.
  • Orientation presentation Recording.
Student ID Cards
  • Online-only students can request a student ID card by uploading an headshot on a light background. No hats or sunglasses, please. Sign in to account management with your StarID and password.
  • Standard practice is to pick up your ID card. If you are an online or distance student, please forward your email notification indicating your card is ready for pick-up to and include your current mailing address and we can pick-up and mail your card to you.
  • Plymouth students should follow these directions.

Get Ready Resources
