About the Office
The College of Education, at St. Cloud State University, prepares teacher candidates in 21 licensure areas. The Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE) is specifically responsible for providing over 850 teacher candidates per semester with approximately 1,000 field and student teaching placements, in partnership with area school districts.
OCE Mission
The mission of the Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE) is to secure quality field experience and student teaching placements for College of Education students, in preparation for their roles as future educators.
In order to secure these placements, OCE builds and maintains partnerships with school district personnel throughout central Minnesota, works in collaboration with various departments in the College of Education and with content faculty across campus, maintains student data regarding these experiences, and provides leadership and support for the supervision of students.
