Learning Disabilities Graduate Certificate

In the learning disabilities graduate certificate program you will examine advanced methods and interventions for serving students with moderate to severe learning disabilities. You will learn curriculum theory and how to develop and assess the curriculum for students. 

This program is accredited by the Council for Exceptional Children.

Note: A teaching license is required to gain admission into this graduate certificate program.

The St. Cloud State Advantage

  • Includes internship working with elementary and secondary school students with learning disabilities
  • Students admitted for fall, spring and summer terms
  • Can be taken as a student guest by students who only need one or two classes to meet the licensure requirements
  • Meets the education requirements to seek Minnesota licensure upon completion
  • The Learning Disability Summer Reading and Math Camp helps improve skills for more than 200 students in K-8
  • Membership in Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP)
