Christine Imbra

Biography

Professor Christine Imbra has worked on college and university campuses for over 30 years, in both academic and student affairs, and has held a variety of campus leadership positions throughout Minnesota. Most notably, she served as the first director of the Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse, the only center of its kind in the country, located at the University of Minnesota. She was also the first female director of security at the College of St. Benedict, and served as interim assistant vice president for outreach and planning at St. Cloud State University.

Imbra is currently the director of the St. Cloud State University – University of Macerata Partnership, which includes traveling to the University of Macerata, in Macerata, Italy, each summer for education abroad with graduate students from around the country. In 2011, she was one of 12 Italian-American educators honored at the Festa Italiana in Minneapolis, and in 2017 she was honored with the first Christine M. Imbra Innovative Leadership award, which is now conferred annually by the program to a higher education administrator.
