Learning in the Twin Cities with St. Cloud Services
St. Cloud State University faculty and students who are part of programs taught out of our Twin Cities location are given access to many of the same services and amenities as those at the St. Cloud campus. Helpful and knowledgeable staff are available to assist students with inquiries and connect to resources.
In addition to attending class, students are welcome to study in groups or individually as arranged with the facilities team. Business hours vary based on classes, scheduled student meetings, and activities. Contact us for additional information.
Graduate Student Handbook
To access the Graduate Student Handbook in D2L, follow these steps:
- Activate your account with your Star ID and password to gain access to all SCSU student
resources.
- Once you're enrolled and have access to D2L, open the student handbook by navigating to materials and then content to view the handbook's contents.

Campus Card
Get your photo ID
Campus Cards are required for printing or when requesting materials from the SCSU Library. Students who cannot go to Campus Card Services in St. Cloud to obtain their photo ID card may submit a request electronically following Campus Card's directions. When your card is delivered to our Twin Cities staff, you will receive an e-mail notification.

Information Technology Services is your one stop for all your SCSU technology needs. Through the HuskyTech team, they provide support for accounts, email, academic technologies (D2L, etc.) and secure computing.

Severe Weather, Closings, Emergencies
Sign up for Star Alerts
St. Cloud State University makes every effort to announce any closings or cancellations by 5 a.m. for day classes/events and before 3 p.m. for evening classes/events in the Twin Cities.
Weather and emergency announcements are made through campus-wide Star Alerts, SCSU's emergency notification system, and are posted to St. Cloud State’s homepage.

Use one of these options to get to St. Cloud State at Plymouth, conveniently located about 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
Library
Services for distance learners
- Home Delivery of University Library Materials: Library materials can be shipped to your home address at no cost if you live more than 35 miles from the St. Cloud State University (SCSU) campus.
- Public Library Access: SCSU students can apply for a free library card at their local public library by providing proof of residency (e.g., utility bill or lease agreement). SCSU has a partnership with the Plymouth Public Library.
Access Library services for distance students
Graduation and Commencement
Students need to apply for graduation one semester prior to when they anticipate completing their degree. Doing so ensures a diploma is received in a timely manner.
In order to participate in commencement ceremonies, a student must have an application for graduation submitted.
