How to Set Up Your StarID

Congratulations on your admission to the School of Graduate Studies at St. Cloud State University. To begin the next steps of your journey, follow these instructions to set up your StarID, which is the main login and gateway to your student accounts, email, registration, financial aid, bill payment, and much more!

1. Go to MinnState's StarID set-up portal.
2. Select Activate my StarID
3. You will be presented with options on how to activate. Choose "I know my email address."
4. Enter the email address associated with your application for admission to receive an authentication code. Do not use the Social Security Number option.
5. Check your email for the verification code.
6. Enter the verification code.
7. A success message will lead to a StarID password setup.
8. Password success shows you the StarID and St. Cloud State University email address.
9. Congratulations! You have successfully created and activated your StarID.
