GMAT Requirement

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required for admission consideration to the Master of Business Administration program.

The MBA program requires a minimum GMAT score of 470 be posted for an applicant's admission packet to be reviewed by the program.

Additional Information

  • The MBA program may consider acceptance of expired GMAT scores.
  • If an applicant holds a master-level degree the program may consider the GRE in lieu of the GMAT. A determination is made by the MBA director.
  • The GMAT may be waived for applicants who hold a terminal degree such as a EdD, PhD, JD, MD, and DVM. A determination is made by the MBA director.
  • Substitution of any graduate entrance examination for the GMAT is subject to approval of the MBA director and the School of Graduate Studies.
  • The GMAT exam admission requirement may be waived for an MBA program applicant, if one or more of the following requirements are met:
    • A minimum of five (3-5) years recent full-time, post-graduation, professional work experience involving progressively more responsibility;
    • Prior completion of a graduate degree from an institution accredited by an agency listed on the U.S. Department of Education list.

Taking the GMAT

The SCSU Testing Center administers GRE and GMAT examinations. A student may schedule a date to take the computerized examinations.
