Faculty and Staff

Faculty

English is part of the Department of Humanities at St. Cloud State University, which also includes History, Languages and Cultures, and Philosophy. The Department of Humanities brings together disciplines dedicated to the study of human experience, culture, and thought.

In English, we explore how language and literature engage the imagination and shape understanding and connection across time and communities. Through reading, writing, and critical inquiry, we cultivate empathy, creativity, and intellectual curiosity, all essential for meaningful participation in society.
