The American Democracy Project is a multi-campus initiative that seeks to create an intellectual and experiential understanding of civic engagement for undergraduates enrolled at institutions that are members of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). The goal of the project is to produce graduates who understand and are committed to engaging in meaningful actions as citizens in a democracy.

Campus Compact's work encompasses a broad range of activities designed to increase the effectiveness of those working to make higher education institutions vital agents of civic renewal.

Minnesota Campus Compact is a nonprofit coalition of 49 college and university presidents committed to strengthening communities through campus-community partnerships and education for informed and active citizenship.

The International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership is a not-for-profit educational organization serving students, colleges, universities, service agencies and related organizations around the world by fostering programs that link volunteer service to the community and academic study.

Learn and Serve America supports and encourages service-learning throughout the United States, and enables over one million students to make meaningful contributions to their community while building their academic and civic skills. By engaging our nation’s young people in service-learning, Learn and Serve America instills an ethic of lifelong community service.

Learning In Deed, a $13 million, four-year initiative, will encourage more school systems across the country to adopt service-learning, making quality service-learning opportunities available to youth in every classroom in grades K-12 throughout the country.

The National Service-Learning Clearinghouse (NSLC), a program of Learn and Serve America, operates America's premier website supporting the service-learning efforts of schools, higher education institutions, communities, and tribal nations. We offer timely information and relevant resources, thousands of free online resources, the nation's largest library of service-learning materials, national service-learning listservs, and reference and technical assistance services.
