The Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk is serves as the hub of the department, and a central place for students, student organizations, and Student Organization Advisers to come for a wide variety of resources and information, including the following:

General Information and Support

Access to Department of Campus Involvement staff and student leaders. See Contact Us for a list of all staff members that are available to:

  • Assist with purchasing paperwork and contracts for your events
  • Assistance with event planning  and risk management
  • Assist with starting a new student organization
  • Assist with promotional ideas for events, including promotion on the large screen TV in the Student Organizations Collaboration Area and listing in the bi-weekly electronic newsletter (E-Blast)
  • Answer student organization policy and procedure questions
  • Connect you with involvement opportunities across campus and the Husky Involvement Guide Program
  • Provide general campus information

Scheduling Appointments with Student Legal Services Attorney

Schedule an appointment with Student Legal Services Attorney

  • The St. Cloud State Student Legal Service Program is a FREE service open to full and part-time SCSU students. This student fee funded program is available for students to sign up for a free consultation with the program's Attorney, who will provide information and guidance to help you understand and address your situation.
  • Students must make appointments in person at the Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk (AMC 134).  Students will need to show a student ID and complete an intake form to schedule a 30-minute appointment. Students may make one consultation appointment per semester with a possible follow-up appointment that is given at the discretion of the program attorney.

Student Organization Mail

Student organizations mail can be picked up at the DCI front desk. An email will be sent to the organization president and adviser when mail is received. 

Student Organization Budget Lookup

Student Organization officers are able to come to the DCI front desk to get current budget information. We can look up account balances, transactions, and print a report for your organization. This information will be provided to Presidents, Vice Presidents, Treasurers, and Advisers indicated on the organization’s CollegiateLink Profile. 

Student Organization Storage

The Department of Campus Involvement and Campus Recreation offer storage space to registered Student Organizations.  Storage spaces are assigned based on usage, needs, and maintenance. Priority will be given to those organizations who currently occupy the space. Organizations interested in storage space should come to Department of Campus Involvement Desk (AMC-134). You will be provided with a locker request form and assigned a locker.

If a student organization needs a storage area unlocked in Atwood, or has forgot the combination to their locker,  An officer or adviser can come to the Campus Involvement Front Desk during office hours (8 - 5 Monday – Thursday, and 8 – 4:30 on Fridays) for assistance.  Presidents, Vice Presidents, Treasurers, and Advisers indicated on the organization’s CollegiateLink Profile are able to receive this information or be let into their organization’s storage space.  Photo Identification will be checked.  After hours, please go to the Atwood Information Desk and ask for the Building Manager to assist you.

Reservation and Check-out of Items/Equipment

Below are a number of items that are available for Registered Student Organizations to check out at no cost.

Button-Making Machine:
A button-making machine is available, free of charge, through the Department of Campus Involvement- Student Organizations. Parts required to make 50 buttons are available for free to each organization per year. To make a reservation, email the organization name, date(s), time of pick up and return to campusinvolvement@stcloudstate.edu or call 320-308-2205. Reservations can also be made by visiting the Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk across from AMC 134 or calling (320)308-2205.

Supplies:
Department of Campus Involvement provides some supplies for use by student organizations. 

Various colors of roll paper is available in the Student Organizations Work Room located on the lower level of Atwood Memorial Center.  This work room is available for all student organizations.  No reservation is necessary.  It is unlocked at all times, and can be used on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other supplies (scissors, stapler, markers, etc.) are available for check-out at the Campus Involvement Front Desk.

Walkie Talkies:
The Department of Campus Involvement has 9 walkie talkies and ear pieces available for student organizations to use at campus events.  To reserve them, email the organization name, date(s) needed, and time of pick up and return to campusinvolvement@stcloudstate.edu or call 320-308-2205. Reservations can also be made by visiting the Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk across from AMC 134 or calling (320)308-2205.

Glassware for table decorations:
Campus Involvement has various sizes and shapes of glassware to be used for decorations at events and activities.  To reserve these items, email the organization name, date(s), style of glassware, time of pick up and return to campusinvolvement@stcloudstate.edu or call 320-308-2205. Reservations can also be made by visiting the Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk across from AMC 134 or calling (320)308-2205.

Sandwich Boards/A-Frames

Sandwich boards/A Frames are available to be reserved through the Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk for events.  To reserve one, send an email with the start and end date(s) and time(s) needed, and the name of the student organization to campusinvolvement@stcloudstate.edu. Sandwich boards/A Frames are not allowed to be used outside during winter months due to snow plowing concerns.
