Advising and Student Transitions

Get to know Holly Schuck!

Holly SchuckI enjoy working with St. Cloud State students to achieve all of their college goals. For some, that's just figuring out a major, while for others, it’s helping them create a plan to study abroad, balance responsibilities as a student-athlete, or connecting them with resources on campus to earn their dream job.

Outside of work, you will find me cheering on my kids at their sporting events and supporting Huskies Athletics, reading fiction and biographies, and binge-watching shows with my partner. Our guilty pleasures include whatever Netflix says we'll like, and I love foreign language series.

If I won the lottery, I would spend my money traveling! As a student, I studied abroad in Spain and Chile and interned in Mexico, where I learned I needed to change my major and settled on International Relations, Spanish and Latin American Studies. Since then, I’ve presented at an international conference in Australia, traveled with SCSU students, faculty and staff to South Africa, spent time at the Alnwick Castle in England, explored Ireland, Argentina, Iceland, and more. I’ve traveled to most U.S. states, and have a goal to explore all 50 by the time I’m 50 – I’m almost there! (To 50 states, not “50”).

I’m equally terrible at cooking and playing video games, but I am really good at supporting students and being proud to work at St. Cloud State!
