National Council on Undergraduate Research Conference

The 2019 NCUR Conference is April 11-13 at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) annual conference is a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement. It provides models of exemplary research, scholarship and creative activity. It helps to improve the state of undergraduate education.

Presentation Types

Date and Deadlines

  • Oct. 26 - nomination system closes
  • Nov. 2 - students will be provided presentation schedule information
  • Nov. 13 - students will present their research to St. Cloud State Scholarship, Research and Creative Achievement Committee (SRCA)
  • Nov. 16 - students will be notified of committee decision

Students selected to represent St. Cloud State must create a NCUR account and register to present.  Registration fees will be paid by St. Cloud State.

  • Dec. 4 - Abstract submission deadline
  • Jan. 28 - Notification of decision on abstracts
  • Jan. 28 - online registration opens
  • Feb. 26 - deadline for early conference registration
  • April 10-13 - NCUR Conference

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR), founded in 1978, is an organization of individual, and affiliate members from around the world. CUR members share focus on providing high-quality collaborative undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activity opportunities for faculty and students.

CUR believes the faculty members enhance their teaching and contribution to society by remaining active in research and by involving undergraduates in research, and that student engaged in undergraduate research succeed in their studies and professional advancement.

CUR events bring together faculty, staff, administrators, students, policymakers, representatives of funding agencies and other stakeholders with an interest in conducting and promoting undergraduate research. CUR events offer professional development, presentation and networking opportunities.
