Navigate for Students

Improving Your College Experience with Navigate

Students benefit from Navigate for its more personalized student support, better communication across key departments, and instructors being able to share concerns about student performance in their classes. Academic and success advisors can use that information to connect with their assigned students to provide connections to campus and community resources.

Use Navigate to access these features:

  • Find your Success Team members
  • Schedule appointments for academic advising
  • Find and send emails to your current instructors
  • Quick access to the academic calendar, myHuskyNet, and information on course registration, billing/payments, financial aid, and more.

How to Log Into Navigate

Currently enrolled and incoming students can log in using your Star ID and password.

If you're returning to SCSU after a break in enrollment, or if your log in credentials are not working, please send an email us with your name and ID number so a member of our tech support team can assist.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Many of our advising centers currently use Navigate to allow students to schedule advising appointments online.

  1. After logging into Navigate, click the blue "Schedule an Appointment" button in the upper right hand corner.
  2. Select the type of appointment you are looking for and follow all of the steps. You can include any specific questions or concerns you have in the comments box.
  3. Click the blue "Confirm Appointment" button to reserve your appointment.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email as well as email and text reminders prior to your appointment.

To ensure your text reminder goes through, we encourage students to update their phone numbers at least annually. Log into e-Services and click on the "Account Management" link on the left side navigation. Then click "Name and Address Info" and edit your number, as needed.

Share Your Pronouns

Students can share and update their pronouns in Navigate by clicking on the upper right hand corner icon, and selecting "User Settings." Advisors and professors will then have access to see the information you have shared, which may help to personalize your interactions. It is optional to share this information, and you can make edits at any time.

An Investment in Student Success

Our students were critical in our ability to bring Navigate to our campus. Through the support of Student Government, St. Cloud State University was able to make this key investment as part of our strategy to promote student success and improve retention and graduation rates for our students. An annual report is provided to the Student Government Tech Fee Committee.
