Foundations in Library Media (Graduate Certificate)

The Foundations in Library Media (Graduate Certificate) program at St. Cloud State University is designed for students pursuing training in the field of school library media but not yet seeking licensure.

Program Highlights

  • Designed to accommodate part-time and full-time students
  • Courses are offered online via Zoom in the evenings during the school year and online via Zoom during the day in the summertime
  • All courses are available synchronously through distance technology for working professionals seeking to enhance their career

Program Distinctions

  • A fifteen credit program that can be completed in one academic year.
  • Ideal for those working in Private Schools, Charter Schools, or Library Media paraprofessionals who are looking for advanced training.
  • Designed for professionals who are interested in exploring alternate careers in education but have not yet decided if they are going to pursue licensure.
  • All the courses may be applied toward the Library Media Specialist: Graduate Certificate or the Master of Science: Library Media degree.
