These programs review how U.S. society views small and mid-size businesses, and all elements that allow it to thrive. The Just-in-Time Skills program helps the participants to get ahead in the labor force by providing needed up-skills at work. 

Minnesota houses over 17 companies in the  list Fortune 500 companies. Many have significant investments and well-established operations around the world. They include 3M, Best Buy, Cargill, Medtronic, General Mills, Ecolab, and IBM.

Program Overview

  • Seminars and workshops led by industry experts
  • Panel discussions with Executives and middle-level managers from local companies
  • Visit to businesses in the area
  • Networking with St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce members
  • Housing (St. Cloud State Residence Hall) or hotel within walking distance
  • Meal plan offered at St. Cloud State Cafeteria
  • Welcome and Closing Ceremony

  • Access to university facilities
  • Certificated of completion/participation

Cost includes:

  • Program fees, and study materials
  • Field trips and cultural activities
  • Health insurance (obligatory)
  • Housing and on-campus and off-campus meals
  • Local ground transportation including pick up and drop off at MSP international airport

Payment Cancellation Policy

  • A refund of full registration fee per participant, minus a $25 processing fee, will be granted if cancelled in writing. Send email to ecvalenciaborgert@stcloudstate.edu before the deadline of the program
  • If you cancel after the deadline of the program you will not be eligible for a refund

Program Dates

Offered year-round. Dates are based on group’s needs or interest.

Cost

Cost varies per program. We can provide an estimate once we receive your request for a specific program and details. Full payment is required before arrival

Requirements

  • Age: Between 15 and 17 years old for Youth Program. Over 18 years old for other programs
  • English Skills: Level B2 or higher
  • Meet visa requirement
