About Our Current Partnerships
Community partnerships are at the heart of St. Cloud State University's commitment to engaged learning, service, and regional impact. Through collaborative relationships with schools, healthcare organizations, nonprofit agencies, businesses, and community leaders, the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences works to create meaningful opportunities that prepare students for professional success while addressing the evolving needs of our communities. Together, we foster innovative learning experiences, strengthen the workforce, and advance initiatives that improve the quality of life across Central Minnesota and beyond.
Current Partnerships
Regional School Districts
Partnering with multiple school districts, our faculty and staff visit schools to connect, collaborate, and inform about education, health and human services careers. Furthermore, more than 80 schools across the state host and mentor our student-teaching candidates.

Boys & Girls Club of Central Minnesota
Focusing on social-emotional lessons, our SCSU counseling students train with and assist the KidStop program. Additionally, the partnership provides our education students with multiple field experience and community service opportunities.
District 742 and Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools
Our Future Teacher Academy allows students from ISD742 and BHM access to Introduction to Education courses, a summer camp at SCSU, and a variety of student supports to ensure a smooth transition from high school to college.
Minnesota Sate Community Colleges
SCSU partners with Minnesota State Community Colleges in education in multiple ways. Significant collaborations include Special Education, Elementary, and Early Childhood pathway programs where students take half of their courses at the community college and the other half (including student teaching) at SCSU.
TeachMN
The SCSU and TeachMN partnership helps inform prospective students about teacher programs. Students can access perks like one-on-one coaching and have a chance to win $1,000 regional scholarships.

Scrubs Camp
Partnering with CentraCare and St. Cloud Technical & Community College, SCSU helps high school students explore a wide variety of healthcare careers through hands-on sessions and activities facilitated by healthcare professionals and college faculty.

United Way of Central Minnesota
SCSU collaborates with the United Way to improve services for families and children. Additionally, SCSU has had multiple graduate students serve as graduate assistants for the United Way.
CentraCare Orthopedics and Coborn Cancer Center
SCSU collaborates with CentraCare Orthopedics and Coborn Cancer Center conducting research on fall prevention and is helping CentraCare achieve several criteria for MAGNET/Cancer Society research requirements.
Minnesota Multi County Multi Type
SCSU partners with Minnesota Multi County Multi Type to help identify funding opportunities for media specialists.
Great River Children's Museum
The Children's Museum and SCSU partnership provide education students with summer volunteer opportunities and the Future Teacher Academy students with hands-on learning experiences related to "the power of play."
