About
Dean's Welcome
The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences college was created with a clear purpose: to prepare the professionals who sustain and strengthen our communities. From educators and counselors to healthcare providers and human services practitioners, our graduates serve in essential roles that shape quality of life across our region. Through applied learning, partnerships, and community-engaged practice, we advance well-being, equity, and economic stability while addressing critical workforce needs.
We are uniquely positioned to do this work more effectively through our community of academic leaders who believe that interdisciplinary, diverse, and inclusive education and research are all critical to our success as professions in an ever-changing society. By bringing related human-centered professions into one unified structure, we are expanding opportunities for interprofessional education and collaboration. Students learn alongside peers in complementary fields, preparing through the team-based environments they will enter after graduation, while programs partner across disciplines to create real-world learning experiences. This integration also enables us to better serve schools, healthcare systems, and community organizations through more coordinated and responsive partnerships.
The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences is the right place at the right time, and we want to join with you to make your experience exciting and fulfilling. We are committed to creating a student-centered experience that is accessible, connected, and supportive from day one. With a shared identity and a “one front door” approach to student success, we are building a community where every student belongs and can thrive. I invite you to explore our programs and be a partner with us in this important work.
