Dennis is in his 17th year here at the Lindgren Child Care Center; the first 10 years as the lead preschool teacher, the next six as the associate director. He has worked in the early childhood field for the last twenty-plus years. Previously, Mergen has taught in the St. Michael/Albertville school district. Beyond his bachelor's and master's degrees, Mergen received minors in Human Relations and Child and Family Studies with a Minnesota Early Childhood Teaching Licensure. He lives in the Albany area with his wife Ginny, and sons Marcus, Jackson and two year old Owen.

Martina Juvera-Paul

Martina has worked in the early childhood field for the past nine years following her graduation from St. Cloud State in 2004. Martina has her Minnesota Birth-Grade 3 Early Childhood Teaching License. Her experience includes teaching preschool-aged children at Head Start, being an Early Childhood teacher for Early Childhood Family Education in the local community, serving as a literacy tutor for Minnesota Reading Corps, providing remediation programming for elementary students as well as years of service in other childcare centers. Martina provides learning experiences that foster growth in a secure, loving and accepting environment. She lives in the area with her husband Joel and toddler son Landon. In her free time, Martina enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, photography, reading and the outdoors.

Kayla Allar

Kayla graduated from Bemidji State University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and holds a Minnesota Birth – Grade 3 teaching license. She has been working with children in the St. Paul area ever since. She spent three years as a nanny for two children before taking a teaching position in Woodbury, MN where she taught both toddler and preschool aged children for two years. She recently moved back to the St. Cloud area with her husband and son. Kayla fills her classroom with love and excitement and provides a positive atmosphere to instill a love for learning at a young age. She is excited to be working here at Lindgren Child Care Center and looks forward to getting to know each child and their families.

Kim Hemiller

Preschool Teacher

Hemiller is a 2002 graduate from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has a Minnesota Birth – Grade 3 teaching license. Prior to teaching at Lindgren, she has spent the last 12 years as a preschool teacher for Reach Up, Inc. Head Start. She also served as a literacy tutor for Minnesota Reading Corps for two years. Her goal as the preschool teacher is to form positive relationships with both the children and their families, while fostering a lifelong love of learning. She lives in the St. Cloud area with her husband, two children and their dog.
