Semester
The semester program fee of $7000 includes:
- Accommodation in a shared room
- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner: Monday-Thursday while classes are in session
- Breakfast and Lunch: Fridays when field trips are planned
- Flights (unless noted otherwise)
- Class field trips and activities
- GeoBlue international health insurance
- 24 hour staff support
- Campus Administration fees
- Damage and work deposits
- Textbooks for British Studies Courses
- Visa document
The program fee does not include tuition, passport fees, required textbooks for other courses, supplementary textbooks and supplies, Saturday and Sunday meals, special class fees and/or other personal expenses.
It should be noted that personal expenses are influenced by individual lifestyles and thus vary greatly from student to student. The amounts included in the budget sheets online are averages based on feedback from previous participants.

Short Term Programs
Short Term programs in Alnwick are unique Education Abroad experiences that take place during Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer sessions.

Are there any scholarships?
You can find scholarships through the
Huskies Scholarships page. You can narrow your search down to education abroad or study abroad. There are even specific program scholarships so you can also try searching Alnwick.
- There are Alnwick specific scholarships. To apply for these, you will use the Huskies Scholarship directory. There is also a general Education Abroad Scholarship run through our office. This scholarship is available for undergraduate students and graduate students studying abroad. Scholarships are awarded based on availability of funds. Awards range from $500 to $2,000.

Fund for Education Abroad is committed to increasing the opportunities for dedicated American students in the acquisition of critical foreign language skills.
- Lord Acton Memorial Scholarship:
This scholarship provides a student with financial support to pursue academic study in the United Kingdom. This scholarship requires the program to be part of the AASAP/UK so it is only available for students studying abroad on the Alnwick program.
- Gilman International Scholarship (for Pell Grant recipients)
Come into the Center for International Studies (Lawrence Hall 101) to talk with a staff member who specializes in assisting students with this scholarship application.
Will my debit/credit cards work?
Your credit and debit cards will work abroad but you will want to check with your bank to find out what types of international fees are applied.
Tip: Notify your bank that you will be traveling outside of the country so that your account isn't frozen due to international transactions.
How do I exchange cash?
If you want to exchange U.S. Dollars (USD), it is easiest to go to a bank or find a kiosk. Otherwise, if you need cash it is often easy to find an ATM.
