Scholarships

There are numerous St. Cloud State University Scholarships available online. Please visit the Huskies Scholarships website to complete and submit the general Huskies Scholarship application. The American Indian Center awards three scholarships annually. Students are required to provide name of tribal membership or affiliation(s) by doing a keyword search for American Indian scholarships on the Huskies Scholarship webpage. Again, there are two steps; a general application must be submitted and searching American Indian or names of the following three scholarships are required to apply for individual scholarships (listed below). Scholarship amounts vary (approximately $500-$2,000 annually)

Meyer/Heltemes Endowed Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: American Indian ancestry, financial need and involvement in campus organizations

Holmgren Scholarship for Native Americans

Eligibility: American or Canadian tribal enrollment, cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher and unconditional admittance to St. Cloud State. This scholarship may be renewed for up to three years if the student is enrolled in at least 6 credits and in good academic standing. A new general scholarship application must be submitted each year to be considered for renewal.

Duane Dunkley Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility: Enrolled member of Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Elementary or Secondary Education major at St. Cloud State and essay about desire to become a teacher is required.
