Congratulations! You have begun your bold journey with SCSU. Complete these four steps in a timely manner to ensure you remain on track to accomplish your personal and professional goals.

Sign up for Huskies Advising & Registration Day Step 1

All new students are required to complete a Huskies Advising and Registration session. Transfer students have the option to complete this session on campus or online.

This session will allow you:

  • Access to Advising Services
  • Register for classes
  • Experience campus
  • Get prepared for college success

Review Your Degree Audit Report (DARS) Step 2

Upon admission to St. Cloud State, an official transcript evaluation will be completed and be accessible on your Degree Audit Report (DARS). Your DARs is located under the ‘Grades and Transcripts’ tab on your eServices account. Your DARS will show you:

  1. How your classes/credits have transferred to SCSU
  2. How those classes/credits count toward your Liberal Education, major pre-requisites, major requirements
  3. What you still need to complete in order to satisfy SCSU’s graduation requirements

For courses from a previous institution that did not transfer into SCSU as you expected, please login to eServices, click on "Academic Records", click on "Transfer Review" and submit a request with your question. You will be instructed to attach additional documentation such as:

  • Course outline/description (Minnesota State institutions only)
  • Course syllabus (preferred)
  • Sample assignments/exams

Apply for On-Campus Housing Step 3

St. Cloud State offers many transfer friendly housing options that provide our students with convenience, access and support.

Apply for Financial Aid Step 4

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for financial aid. All students are encouraged to apply for federal and state financial aid, whether or not you think that you may be eligible. Financial aid includes grants, work study, scholarships and loans.
