Annual Psychology Scholarship Awards

Psychology majors have the opportunity to apply for several awards/scholarships awarded by the Psychology Department each year. Please contact the psychology department for more detailed information.

Psychology Merit Award

The Psychology Merit Award recognizes an SCSU Psychology major for high academic achievement and professional development. Applicants must be psychology majors, have a GPA of at least 3.50 (overall and in the major), be a member of Psi Chi, and be currently taking classes at St. Cloud State. Yearly award amount is approximately $300 (exact amount will be publicized each year).

Mary Boltuck Award

The Mary Boltuck Award recognizes a St. Cloud State Psychology undergraduate major who has been accepted by a Psychology graduate program. Mary Boltuck was an SCSU Psychology Department faculty member for 27 years. She advised the Psi Chi/Psychology Club for more than 10 years. Applicants must be a member of Psi Chi and have been recently accepted by a graduate program in the field of Psychology.

Psychology Graduate School Preparation Award

The Psychology Graduate School Preparation Award recognizes the academic and professional achievement of a psychology major who is planning to further his or her education at the graduate level. The award is intended to assist psychology majors with the costs associated with applying to graduate schools. Applicants must be psychology majors, have a minimum GPA of 3.50 (overall and in the major), be currently enrolled at St. Cloud State, and be able to identify at least one graduate program to which they are applying.
