A fundamental goal of psychologists is to apply our knowledge to better the lives of individuals and society in general through our understanding of human behavior. To this end, psychology students are encouraged to pursue internship opportunities while at St. Cloud State. This opens up a variety of career opportunities open upon graduation.
A majority of Psychology majors complete an applied experience/internship and have interned at over 100 different area organizations. The Psychology Department and SCSU Career Center actively assists students in finding internships and career opportunities.
Many of our students have pursued and completed rewarding volunteer experiences that both enhances their psychology education and enriches their lives and the lives of others including the following organizations:
