You have heard about AI and ChatGPT but haven’t had the chance to play with it first-hand – this is a supported opportunity to explore tools that are impacting education, think about how to update assignments to leverage this modern tool, and how to speak about academic integrity and course expectations in a modern and evolving society. After exploring tools, we will hold a conversation around how to embed such tools within coursework. Bring your device to make the most of this session.

 

New Faculty IFO/FA Orientation

Location:  Maple Room, Atwood Memorial Center

We would like to invite new faculty to a gathering hosted by the SCSU Faculty Association (FA) President Mumbi Mwangi and the Inter Faculty Organization (IFO) President Jenna Chernega, Richard Kaspari IFO Legal/Benefits and Equity Representative will be there to discuss the IFO benefits package and pension plan choices for faculty.

 

Assessment Office Drop-In Session

The Office of Assessment and Accreditation will be available to help faculty. Questions about all areas of assessment including outcomes, measures, alignment, etc. are welcome although we will be particularly focused on outcome creation at the program and course level.
