Pregnant and Parenting Navigators
Parent Navigators
In accordance with Minnesota Statute 135A.1581 and Minnesota State Policy 1B.1.3, St. Cloud State University provides navigators for parenting students. The navigator role was created to ensure that students with dependents have access to the resources they need to succeed academically while balancing family responsibilities. Navigators provide a “warm handoff” to the right supports, working in partnership with student services, OEA staff, and other campus offices.
Navigators are the first point of contact for pregnant and parenting students seeking support. They help connect students to additional on and off-campus resources beyond reasonable modifications. Parent navigators are university employees who provide information regarding support services and other resources available to students on campus and in the local community.
