Abdullah Abu Hussein

Abu Hussein joined the Department of Information Systems in the Herberger Business School in August 2016. He currently serves as an Associate Professor. Prior to this, he held many teaching positions throughout his long career in other institutions. 

Dr. Abuhussein received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Memphis in Tennessee, USA. In his Ph.D. research, Abdullah focused on pragmatic cloud security assessment framework and stakeholder's perspective in cybersecurity. He received his MSc. in Information Systems Management from Ferris State University in 2002 and a BSc. In Computer Science in 1999 from IPU.

Dr. Abuhussein's research interest includes cloud computing, cloud security, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), Internet-of-things (IoT), software engineering, social engineering, security and privacy, and security metrics.
Dr. Abuhussein has been teaching courses on security, software engineering, and cloud computing as a lecturer at various educational institutions. He has a number of refereed publications in related venues, presented papers at various conferences and served as a reviewer in some journals, including IEEE Transaction on Cloud Computing.
