Refer-a-Friend Scholarship Program

If you are a St. Cloud State University student or alum your friends can earn $500 scholarship when they enroll full-time to the Intensive English Center (IEC)!

How it Works

Eligibility and Rules

SCSU Students and Alumni (Referrers)

  • You must be a undergraduate student, graduate student, or alumni at St. Cloud Cloud State University.
  • Faculty, staff, and non-community members are not eligible as referrers.
  • You may submit multiple referrals.
  • You complete the referral form verifying the referral to the program.
  • Referrers do not receive scholarship funds in this program.

New IEC Students (Referred)

  • You must be a new prospect to SCSU. If any part of your application or documentation was submitted before you indicate the referral, or if you have a deferred application prior to indicating the referral, you are not a new prospect.
  • You will receive $500 only if you register and maintain full‑time enrollment as an IEC student at St. Cloud State University past the add/drop period.
  • Each referred student is eligible for one $500 scholarship regardless of how many individuals refer them.
  • If you are working with an SCSU-contracted agent, you are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • You must submit the referral during your application and include the full name of the student who referred you to us under the "How did you hear about us?" section.
