David Sebberson

David Sebberson is a painter and past chair of the art department, and a former English professor. As a painter, he has exhibited his work nationally at venues including Brooklyn Waterfront Arts Coalition (New York), Goggleworks (Pennsylvania), Chattahoochee Valley Art Museum (Georgia), DeVos Art Museum (Michigan), and Rockford Art Museum (Illinois). Regionally, he has exhibited at The Great Plains Art Museum (Nebraska), The Sioux City Art Center (Iowa), and The Plains Art Museum (North Dakota), all of which have his work in their collections.

David is currently represented by Anderson-O’Brien Fine Arts (Omaha); locally, he has exhibited at Instinct Gallery in Minneapolis, which also presented his work at SCOPE New York in 2015. David’s professional experience includes acting as a site visitor for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. He has also served as a board member of the Association for Integrative Studies, and been on the editorial boards of Rhetoric Society Quarterly and Issues in Integrative Studies.

Prior to becoming a faculty member, David worked as a policy writing consultant at the World Bank.
