Bratt was raised in Sauk Rapids and is happy to have found her way back home after living in many other interesting places. Her research interests revolve around the literature and linguistics of immigrants. She is diligently at work with writing projects, including editing volumes of essays on North African literature and writing poetry and fiction.

Biorn does volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity ReStore and for Minnesota Reading Corps at a local elementary school. Her activities include reading, traveling (especially to see her grandchildren in PA and GA), tent camping, gardening, biking, sewing, and knitting.

Deepashika Pahadi

After earning her bachelor's degree, Pahadi spent four years working with trafficking victims and survivors. She is thrilled to be a part of SCSU and also shares that she is the first one in her family with bachelor’s degree. She loves spending her time watching movies and listening to music.
