How to Report a Barrier
St. Cloud State University is working hard to ensure our campus' physical and digital spaces can be enjoyed by all. If you are experiencing a barrier, we would like to know.
Select the appropriate office below and send an email with the following information:
- Your name and the best way to contact you.
- Your affiliation with SCSU (student, visitor, etc.).
- Describe the barrier you experienced and how we could best remove it for you.
If you are a current student in need of accommodations in a class, contact Student Accessibility Services.
Send Feedback or Concerns
Learning
Learning accessibility issues can impact your ability to fully participate, learn, and complete coursework.
This may include:
- Documents and course files are not compatible with screen readers
- Videos do not include [accurate] captions
- Text is low contrast or difficult to read
We encourage you to notify your instructor of the barrier you are experiencing and work together on solutions. If you need additional support and assistance contact Academic Affairs.

Digital accessibility issues can affect how easily you access information, complete tasks, or engage with online university content.
This may include:
- Screen reader incompatibility
- Inaccessible PDF content
- Media accessibility
Include pertinent information such as the exact URL and the web browser you are using.

Physical accessibility concerns can affect your ability to access buildings, services, and events safely and independently.
This may include:
- Difficult building access
- Lack of wayfinding making accessible spaces hard to find
- Temporary barriers (construction, weather conditions, etc.)
Include pertinent information such as exact location and day/time of your experience.
