Graduate Assistants and Supervisors
Teaching, research and service are three endeavors that have shaped graduate education at St. Cloud State University since its inception, and all three are reflected in the roles of our graduate assistants.
GAs are employed on-campus in academically relevant positions as either teaching, research or program support assistants. In exchange for their assistance to faculty and staff, the University provides partial tuition reimbursement, a stipend, and a career-enhancing mentored experience.
The following pages detail the policies and obligations of a graduate assistantship for students and faculty, as well as provide information on how to apply for an assistantship and the benefits available to our GAs.
Please Note: Graduate assistantships require full-time enrollment, a minimum of 8 graduate credits or a minimum of 6 doctoral credits.
