Completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application each year will ensure you're considered for a variety of federal and state aid types. Some scholarships also require you to complete a FAFSA application, so don't wait!
Federal Grants
Grants are like gifts and are usually awarded to students with the fewest financial resources. Grants are considered need-based aid. This need is determined when you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Grants usually come from federal and state governments and are sent directly to the school.
Work Study
Want to get a head start on gaining work experience while still attending college and earn some extra bucks in the process? Student employees fill a variety of important roles.
Federal Student Loans
Borrow wisely! If you need to take out a loan, consider those offered by the federal government first. Fixed interest rates, in-school deferment (no payments required while in school) and other benefits are a big deal.
