Committee Membership and Expectations

SCSU banner outside of Eastman HallThe SPC includes administrators, faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders identified to ensure a diverse and knowledgeable committee. The SPC works closely with technical and other subject matter experts, as needed, to ensure process effectiveness, efficiency, and quality. The Community Advisory Group will be consulted on issues addressing community relationships.

Committee members are expected to attend meetings, actively participate in committee activities, lead engagement sessions, and serve as ambassadors of the planning process across campus and in our community.

Each committee member is equally important to the process. The committee is expected to work together respectfully, collegially, and transparently; engage in open and evidence informed dialogue; maintain clear documentation of decisions, rationales, and recommendations; and adhere to defined timelines. All committee members share responsibility for the committee’s work.

The SPC is a recommending body. Final authority and approval of the FY27–FY29 Strategic Plan rests with the president of St. Cloud State University, in consultation with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities chancellor.

Co-Chairs: Drs. Michele Mumm and Matt Julius.

Together, we will chart a stable, focused, and mission aligned path forward for our university and for the students and communities we serve.
