Financial Aid Alerts

There have been some recent changes to State and Federal Financial Aid programs.

North Star Promise: To be considered for the North Star Promise Scholarship for the 2026–2027 academic year, you must submit your 2026–2027 FAFSA to the Department of Education by June 1, 2026. If your FAFSA is submitted after this date, you will not be eligible for the scholarship for that year.

Federal Direct Loans: Students received Federal Direct Loans who are enrolled less-then-fulltime will have their loan amount reduced based upon their actual enrolled credits. Find more information by clicking on the One Big Beautiful Bill Changes link on the left.

Federal Student Aid Estimator

Check out the new Federal Student Aid Estimator provided by the Department of Education. It can help you understand your potential options for paying for college by providing you an estimate of how much federal student aid you may be eligible for. This is an estimate tool and does not guarantee you will be eligible for these funds. Eligibility depends on the completion of the 2026-2027 FAFSA.
