Since its launch in 2009, Science Express has served nearly 100,000 students in Pre-K to 12th grade classes.
Its well-equipped trailer, donated by Medtronic, visited more than 30 schools some years.
Through the generosity of more than $600,000 in grants, it has been able to bring dozens of science-related programs to young students.
Its programs have been designed to bring hands-on experience and some of the latest knowledge and equipment in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to Central Minnesota schools.
In 2012-13, it redeveloped its programs into a structured curriculum model that integrated the state's science standards.
It now provides supplementary instruction for third- through sixth-graders in St. Cloud metro area schools, and is in the process of remaking its equipment lending program for fifth- through 12th-grade science classrooms.
