St. Cloud State is proud to serve as a School of Record. For students studying abroad, a School of Record makes it possible to receive a US transcript for the courses they take abroad. St. Cloud State University verifies the academic integrity of the courses offered at our partner based on the Higher Learning Commission's criteria and guidelines.
The courses and the credentials of the partner have undergone a thorough review by academic departments and academic affairs to ensure they meet St. Cloud State curriculum requirements. The agreement to award credit follows the best practice standards set forth in the Forum on Education Abroad Guidelines for School of Record Relationships.
St. Cloud State University is proud to serve as the School of Record for Maximo Nivel study abroad programs. Maximo Nivel is the leading organization in study abroad and educational travel in Latin America. Maximo Nivel is an internationally-accredited organization with 4 local institutes in 3 of the world’s most beautiful countries — Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru.
Students can earn St. Cloud State credit through courses in Spanish. St. Cloud State faculty evaluate each course from Maximo Nivel to determine St. Cloud State equivalencies. Each course must be approved through the department and dean of the respective college.
Maximo Nivel provides St. Cloud State University with the transcript and proper documentation for each student. St. Cloud State will evaluate the credit and create the student record.
Once the student record is finalized, students can order transcripts.
