Coaching Connections

The MBA Career Coaching program, Coaching Connections, is an integral part of the MBA program. We partner with students, faculty, alumni, SCSU Career Center, regional employers and businesses, and other stakeholders to offer personal and professional development coaching services. We believe in guiding students as they seek their unique path in business and leadership, connecting them to applicable resources and bridging relationships for their defined success. We seek to offer a sense of belonging through active engagement and uplifting encouragement.

What We Do

Connect

Network with stakeholders and coordinate services for the MBA student.

Develop

Offer individual coaching sessions with MBA students using exploratory questions to create a personalized plan for self and a portfolio for others.

Engage

Create a trusted space through active listening for the MBA student to share career desires, goals, strengths and barriers.

Collaborate

Partner with faculty to interact with MBA students in small group class discussions to hear diverse perspectives and bridge questions with course content as well as workshops for leadership skills and communication development.

Encourage

Ask effective questions for MBA student to self-reflect as well as spark past successes for motivational effect toward career goals.
