Environmental and Technological Studies Student Opportunities
Environmental and Technological Studies offer numerous opportunities for students to engage in applied learning, both inside and outside the classroom. The work of our student organizations and internships provides students with valuable opportunities for community engagement and professional development.
Our program, along with its students, plays a key role in the campus's efforts toward sustainability.
Student Opportunities
Environmental and Technological Studies Club
The ETS Club promotes technological literacy and environmental awareness both on campus and within the community. We welcome members from all four of the department's majors.
Our activities include engaging with youth at events such as the annual Technology in Action Student Challenge, which brings together high school and middle school students.
Email Professor Hentges for more information.
Environmental Studies Student Research Group
We support undergraduates in gaining hands-on experience and developing their research skills:
- Gain research experience in both the field and the laboratory.
- Apply theories and techniques to address meaningful research questions.
- Develop professional and scholarly networks.
Internships
Internships offered through our department provide both graduate and undergraduate majors with valuable occupational experience. These internships involve a variety of activities, all conducted under the close supervision of industry or service organization professionals, as well as university faculty.
