Cultural Diversity Grants

Each year St. Cloud State University distributes grants to faculty, staff and students for projects that address cultural diversity. 

The grants are awarded each spring by a sub-committee of the Diversity Advisory Council. 

Priority is given to proposals that: 

  • Promote of retention and success of students of color that leads to higher graduation rates
  • Enhance the preparation of students of color for assuming leadership roles in society
  • Seek to increase the number of students from racial and ethnic minority groups through active recruitment, marketing and outreach strategies 
  • Improve the campus community in ways that promote cultural diversity
  • Promote cultural diversity in courses and programs that include opportunities for students and faculty to participate in out-of-class activities
  • Bring professors or administrators of color to St. Cloud State through lectures, visiting scholar opportunities and other activities
